Sophie was still sleeping when Mackenzie left the house to go to the food store. They were running low on food and while she didn't want to take Lizzie out with her, she had no choice. Sophie didn't get home from working until early this morning and she wasn't going to wake her up and watch Lizzie just so Mack didn't have to take her. But for some reason, Mack was exhausted. Maybe it was the late nights hitting her. The interrupted sleep that she got. Everything was just getting to be too much. She also had a really bad feeling about today. She hated how she felt. She felt like someone was following her but she just put it off as nothing.
Mackenzie put her car in park and she put Lizzie's baby carrier in the shopping cart. She made sure she had her shopping list and her wallet. She pushed the cart into the store and began to work. Lizzie was sleeping which was good. She just hoped she stayed asleep the entire time she was at the food store. Mackenzie started putting stuff into the cart and continued on her way. She got to the produce part of the trip and she moved to grab the bag to stick the peppers in. She turned back around to go put the peppers in the cart when she gave a scream. "Lizzie!" Mack exclaimed as she rushed to her car. Her daughter was gone. The carseat was missing and there was no sign of her anywhere. Mackenzie called Sophie's phone but it went to voicemail. "Soph! Lizzie's gone. I went to get some peppers and turned my back for just a second and when I turned back around she was gone! Call me back please..." Mack cried into the phone. She grabbed her cart and rushed to the customer service desk to see if she can speak to a manager.
