Grace Morgan Steele
also known as "Grace"
Female
Thirty-Seven
Bisexual
Actress
Appearance
Grace has long black hair and a naturally pretty face. It's not much of a surprise that she was scouted to be put on the screen. Her eyes are a mixture of pale blue and green flakes, with the left eye being a bit more blue and the right more green. Depending on the lighting and what she's wearing, her eyes tend to shift between the two colors.
No matter what Grace plans on doing for the day, she always wears makeup. It gives her a sense of control in a life where she often doesn't feel like she has much say in where she'll go next. She prefers natural makeup on a daily basis, but if she's going out she'll step it up a bit. She tends towards casual chic outfit, paying less attention to practicality and more to how it looks and what's in style.

Personality
Grace is typically a very charismatic person, but she plays her cards close to her chest. She appears relatively naive about some things, but she notices more than she lets on and she'd very cunning. When she wants something she usually gets it, no matter what it takes.
Background
Grace was somewhat spoiled as a child. Her parents had plenty of money and they wanted their two children, her and her older brother, to get anything they wanted in life. That being said, they were often busy and weren't the most active parents. When she was young she was sent to a boarding school where she was highly encouraged to take part in dance classes and acting clubs. Outside of her busy schedule, she found her place with the popular group of kids. She developed a reputation as an underdog, preferring to avoid conflict with the girl who had already taken the spotlight.
It was for 'those eyes' that her young career truly started. She was on a fieldtrip to the mall when she was 8 and a scout approached her chaperone, insisting Grace take part in a modeling job. She was somewhat indifferent, but the school contacted her parents who approved so she began working with the Silver Rose Model Agency. From there she was drafted into a few commercials, where that acting of hers came in handy. Being in magazines and on tv, her popularity at school took another step up and suddenly people started deferring to her. Thus, as she started to grow up she was used to attention being focused on her.
When she was 11, Grace took her first professional job on stage. She'd taken part in school productions before, but this was a play put on by West End. From there she didn't do many more plays. She was young and she had enough to balance with modeling, dance classes, and regular school. Plus, when she was a sophomore in high school she was distracted by a certain boy. Rider. They were so caught up in their feelings for each other that when they graduated they rushed into a fast marriage. Within a year Charlotte was born, and two years later came Carter. She loved both of them more than anything else in the world.
Rider had never really understood Grace's acting career. It required her to travel and he'd rather she stay home with him. Or at least, she thought he did until one day she came home to find him in bed with one of her friends. After a series of arguments, she made herself cut him off and moved out of the house to a nearby apartment. He wanted to work things out, but she wasn't interested.
She was 21 when she was cast in a movie and moved to New York, but she felt much older. It took a piece out of her to leave her kids, but Rider had left her little choice. She needed to follow her career and she needed to be away from him. She would have taken the kids with her, but she knew her life in New York wouldn't be considered stable and any court would give her husband custody. So she didn't fight for them. She began filing the divorce when she got to America and let him keep them.
She began bouncing between theatre and movies depending on what roles were available for her. At 24 she moved to Hollywood to be part of a sitcom type show. It was an amazing opportunity for her, but she made a stupid mistake and got involved with the director. They kept their relationship on the down low for a while, theoretically for their careers, but she realized later it was so the other pretty little actresses he worked with didn't get jealous. It was three seasons into the show when she left. After that she decided not to do anymore dating. People couldn't cheat on her if they were never dating.
After that she moved back to New York and that was her main residence. She still traveled for various roles, but she did more Broadway which let her stay where she was. 10 years into her acting career, she was in a movie with a certain Charlie St Cloud. He was fun to work with and they stayed in contact, becoming something more than friends, though she kept him at arm's length emotionally. Even when they had to be away from each other, they managed to stay friends, and he became her go to person when she needed to be near someone else.
2 years ago, Grace got news that Rider had died of cancer, leaving her two kids without a father. She didn't know exactly how to be a mother, but she knew the grandmother that would have taken them in if she didn't and she didn't like the idea of her kids with that woman. She's tried to be there for them, but it's hard at times. Since they joined her, she's tried to take as few roles that require traveling as possible.
