Maya watched as Haley left and she breathed out. She quickly went about her work. Later that night, Maya parked her car. She got out and made her way up to the front door. She knocked on the door with a plate of brownies that she managed to bake.

By the time there was a knock on the door, the chicken was done cooking and Liam had chosen a more appropriate outfit. “I got it,” she told him.
She opened the door and was unsurprised to find Maya. Liam’s friends usually made a lot more noise. “Hey,” she smiled. “You didn’t have to bring anything.”

"It's nothing. I enjoyed making some and I even left some for Hunter," She said stepping inside. She looked around. "Nice place. And it smells amazing in here."

“Nope,” Haley shook her head. “Just penicillin but that’s not a food.” She closed the door behind Maya. “Liam’s somewhere upstairs, I was just finishing cooking.”

"Well I bet it's going to taste amazing," Maya said with a grin as she followed her to the kitchen. She set the plate of brownies down on the counter and glanced around. "It's a nice place you have here. Seems very cozy."

Haley nodded. "Yeah, Liam's parents pay for it," she said. She certainly wouldn't have been able to afford a place like this on her own. Her parents had barely had enough to get by without having to worry about her going to college. Any money she had was from scholarships and loans. "I'll give you a tour in just a second," she said. She grabbed the pasta and dumped it into the pot with the sauce.

"That must be nice. I chip in and help Hunter with the bills and stuff," Maya said softly. She watched her get the pasta and her eyes took in Haley's form. She girl was gorgeous for sure. "Do you need any help?"

Haley glanced back at Maya. "Sure," she grinned. "There's stuff for a salad in the bottom left drawer of the fridge. Could you grab it?" she asked. Once she mixed the sauce with the pasta that would be all she had left.

"Sure," Maya said grinning at her as she moved to the fridge to grab the stuff she needed. She grabbed the stuff and set it on the counter. "Do you cook often?"

Haley nodded. "Yeah, I grew up in a restaurant remember?" she replied, "I practically grew up cooking. This particular dish I've been making since I was 13."
"I'm okay," Maya said to her with a small smile as she handed her the salad stuff. "Thanks again for inviting me to dinner. It's a nice change from frozen meals my brother heats up. He can't cook to save his life."
