9 months. Mack was finally 40 weeks pregnant and this baby didn't seem like she wanted to come out of her. It was driving her mad. She had been put on bedrest at 15 weeks and after 25 weeks of being on bedrest, she was ready to be done with it. While she was allowed to do things around the house, that was the extent of her being able to be up and about. Sophie made sure that she didn't leave the house and if she was going to be gone for an extended period of time, she made sure to have Jesse check on her to make sure she was home and not out of the house.
Sophie was working that night and all day she felt off. She had felt the baby's foot in her rib cage and she felt serious pressure in her hips. She just put it off as her body just being done with being pregnant. She assured Sophie that she would be able to go to work that night, that she would be fine. So off Sophie went and into the shower Mack went. Mack sighed as the warmed water hit her body and she felt like she was in heaven. It felt good. It soothed her aching muscles and she couldn't have been more relaxed; especially since she had no idea what was to come.
Around 1am, Mack had woken up to an empty bed, meaning Sophie was still working. She got up to go to the bathroom and made it there just fine. She did her business, and began to make her way down to the kitchen to get some water. On her way back to the stairs, Mack turned into the hallway and she felt a small pop and then she felt a rush of something. Mack froze and she turned on the hall light. She glanced down and saw water under her. She knew she didn't pee herself because she had just gone to the bathroom so she knew that her water had to have broken. Immediately, her hands began to shake. She made her way up the stairs, a trail of water following her. "Note to self, clean that up later," Mack muttered.
Mackenzie made it to her and Sophie's room and she went to grab her phone. She grabbed a change to clothes and went into their bathroom and sat down on the toilet. She dialed Sophie's number and it rang a few times and then went to voicemail. "Shit..." Mack muttered as she dried her legs off before grabbing a pad and putting on clean sweats. She dialed Sophie's number a second time and same thing. "Come on Soph..." Mack said out loud before dialing her for a third time.
