"Of course," Sophie said with a smile. She wasn't sure she wanted to be left alone with Christine, but she didn't let that show on her face. "So, Christine. Why are you in town?" Sophie asked as she led the way to the kitchen.

Christine followed Sophie to the kitchen. ”Oh I told my parents I was coming to visit a few friends and I knew Kenzie still lived here and I missed her,” Christine said leaning against the counter. ”So… just how serious are you and my Kenzie?”

Sophie listened to Christine as she grabbed the cookie jar and put some cookies on a plate, then slid them onto the counter near Christine. "Oh good, you have claws." Sophie grinned. This would be fun, as long as she could make sure she didn't get herself in trouble with Mackenzie. "We're serious enough that you shouldn't be calling her your Kenzie."

Christine looked at her as she took a cookie. ”Oh goody you have claws too,” Christine said to her. ”She will always be my Kenzie. I only ended things with her two years ago because we were moving and I didn’t want to hold her back.”

Sophie smirked, taking a cookie for herself. "You should be glad you left when you did. If you had been here when I arrived it would have broken your poor little heart when she left you for me," she said, innocently breaking off a piece of her cookie and taking a bite of it. "Now that you're back in town, what are your plans?"

Christine heard what Sophie said and her eyes narrowed. Who the hell did this girl think she was? ”Or you would have been left in the dust because she would have realized everything I have to offer her,” Christine spat out. She heard what she asked. ”To get Kenzie back into my life and make a future together. And to see that she leaves you in the dust.”

Sophie laughed at Christine's unearned confidence and her anger. It had been so easy to get under her skin. She'd handled girls like this before, and she didn't feel threatened in the least. "Are you an only child?" Sophie asked.

Christine looked at Sophie. ”I had an older brother but he died two years ago,” Christine said to her as she took a bite of the cookie. ”What the hell does that have to do with my Kenzie?”

Sophie ignored her question, deciding she wasn't going to respond to anything that had to do with her Kenzie. She'd deal with Mackenzie, or Mack, or Kenzie, but not with any sort of pronouns in front of it. Mack was her own person, and anyone who didn't see her that way wasn't worth her time. "How much older was he?" she asked.

Christine heard what she asked and she frowned. ”He was 4 years older than me,” she said confused. ”What is the point to all of this? And how long does it take for her to change?” She didn’t want to be alone with Sophie anymore. She was annoying the hell out of her

"Patience," Sophie clucked her tongue. "The point to it is that you're spoiled and you seem to think everything will be handed to you. It would make more sense if you were an only child, but because of the age gap and because you're the youngest I suppose it's not too surprising."

Christine heard her click her tongue and her hands balled into a fist. ”Who the hell do you think you are telling me this shit?” Christine snapped at her. ”You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Mackenzie came back into the room. ”Hey! Sorry it took so long. I couldn’t find my favorite sweatshirt,” Mack said opting for a different one. Her eyes lit up at the site of the cookies. ”Mm this are delicious baby.” Mack said kissing Sophie on the cheek.

Sophie chuckled at Christine's reaction. "Maybe I don't," she shrugged. "If I'm wrong why would it bother you, though."
Soph glanced up as Mackenzie walked in. She felt the need to wrap a possessive arm around her girlfriend, but she stopped herself. There was no need to act threatened. "No worries, Christine and I were just getting to know each other." She kept her tone light. She wasn't sure whether Christine would let on the actual nature of their conversation, but she didn't really care either way. If Christine felt the need to be emotional it would be her own downfall. "She's cute, like a puppy. I get why you like her."

Christine heard what Sophie said and as she went to reply, Mackenzie came into the room. She heard the interaction between Sophie and Kenzie and heard Sophie refer to her as a puppy.
Mackenzie heard Sophie and she let a hand rest on her back lightly, as she lent against the counter. ”Tini is pretty cool. She used to let me crash at her place until my mom found out and then I was banned from going over there,” She said looking at Christine

"I have no doubt," Sophie said, taking another bite of her cookie. "That's not a problem anymore," she added, "Your mom wired the money to me earlier, by the way. I'll transfer it to you when I get the chance."
