Mack heard what she said and she wrinkled her nose. She always hated the smell of hairspray. She heard what she said and she nodded her head. "Sure. Let me just shower and get myself awake the best I can," Mack said to her as she pulled back the covers. She was wearing a silk nightgown, her hair in a messy bun.

Mack heard what she said and she frowned. She was used to Sophie and her kiss or touch first thing in the morning. Waking up to an empty bed, and now Sophie just sitting, made her feel edgy. She turned on her heel and made her way to the bathroom, grabbing some leggings and a shirt on her way. She shut the door over, but not all the way. She turned on the shower and she looked at herself in the mirror, tears filling her eyes. She slowly shed off the clothing on her body, turning to look at her back in the mirror. She saw the scar on her back and she shivered slightly. She pulled back the curtain and she entered the shower, sighing as the warm water cascaded down her back.

Sophie idly swivelled in the chair as she pulled out her phone, debating where she wanted to take Mackenzie. She didn’t want to push her too hard considering she wasn’t feeling well, but there were so many places she wanted to show her.

About 10 minutes later, Mack emerges from the bathroom. She was dressed and her hair was wet cascading down her back. ”Okay I’m ready,” Mack said. ”But I am starving. So maybe we can grab some breakfast first?”

Mack nodded her head. ”It was super lonely without you last night…” Mack said yawning slightly as she slipped her phone into the pocket of her leggings.

Sophie paused to listen for footsteps outside then, after determining the hallway was empty, walked over and hugged Mackenzie tightly. She would have kissed her, but if she messed up her lipstick she’d have to take the time to reapply it and she was hungry. “I know, I missed you too,” she muttered, lingering in the embrace for a while before stepping away and heading to the door. “We should probably get going before the city wakes up.”

Mackenzie stared at Soph and then she watched her come over and hug her tightly. Mackenzie put her arms around Sophie, breathing in her scent. ”Definitely don’t like the lipstick… I can’t kiss you…” Mack muttered to her before they pulled away from each other. She heard her and nodded. ”Im excited.”

Sophie led the way out of the house. She’d decided it would be easier to walk to the restaurant since it was pretty close and then they could get a cab to go into town. Even in spring, a coolness clung to the air. She was grateful for it. It meant that she could wear a thin jacket that covered her scars. “Is there anything in London you’re particularly interested in seeing?” she asked

Mackenzie followed Sophie and tugged her zip up closer to her body. She heard her question and shook her head. "Not really. I mean I know there is the London Eye and Buckingham Palace but honestly you can show me whatever you want to show me," Mack said to her as she looked around. "What are the odds of us running into friends that you know?"

Sophie shrugged at Mackenzie’s question. “It’s a weekend, so the boarding school crowd will be around somewhere. We’ll probably run into them at some point, but I’m not sure when.” She’d been away long enough that she didn’t know their habits anymore. She just knew her step mom was planning to hold some sort of charity event and some of her friends would probably be invited.

Mackenzie heard what she said and she nodded. "Got it," Mack said to her. "So... what is planned while we are here? I mean your dad isn't back right? So we haven't seen him yet." And to be honest, Mack was glad they hadn't see him yet. He terrified her and just his tone alone was enough to make her want to not look him in the eyes.

Sophie shrugged. “I’m not sure when my dad will get back, but it should be sometime tonight or early tomorrow. Tomorrow my step mom is holding a charity event. Suicide awareness. I get to make a speech.” she rolled her eyes. She wasn’t at all pleased with the situation, but it would be easiest to just play along. “I’m guessing that’s why they wanted me here in the first place. Other than that we should be free to do what we want.”

Mackenzie heard what she said about her dad and she frowned about the charity event. "Is it because of what just happened? Is that why she's asking you to speak?" Mack asked her. "And am I supposed to come with you? Because I didn't pack anything fancy..." She didn't have anything fancy to begin with. "And I'm assuming keeping our relationship a secret is a must?"
