After pacing around endlessly, Katherine had finally made Sophie sit down and wait. She kept a hand on her arm, making sure she stayed still and calmed down. She wasn’t sure how long it was before she heard a noise from Mackenzie and the girl opened her eyes. “Hey,” she said as she made her way over to the bed. “You passed out on me.” she tried to keep the shakiness out of her voice. The doctors had tried telling her everything was alright but she didn’t believe them. She didn’t believe anyone in this hospital.

Mackenzie glanced over at Sophie and she slowly pushed herself up to a sitting position, wincing slightly. "I didn't mean to pass out.." Mack said her hands shaking slightly. "Did they talk about a reason as to why?"

Mackenzie nodded her head and she lent back against the pillow closing her eyes. "I feel so weak," Mack said quietly.
"Ah Ms. Camden," A doctor said walking into the room. "It's good to see that you're awake."
Mackenzie opened her eyes and looked over at the doctor. "Am I okay?" Mack asked him.
"You're going to be fine. You're just a little dehydrated and the pregnancy is putting a lot of stress on your body," He said to her. "It's completely normal. Once this bag of fluid finishes up, we will discharge you. For the time being, I need you to try and stay out of stressful situations. Your body is adjusting to your pregnancy and the added stress isn't good."
Mack listened to him and she nodded her head. "I can do that," Mack said to him. "I just want to go home..."
"I'll check back in about 20 minutes or so and then you should be free to leave," He said before leaving the room.
"How the hell am I going to afford any of this..." Mack whispered.

Sophie listened very carefully to the doctor, then heard Mackenzie speak as he walked out. “Dont worry about it,” Sophie said, “It’s taken care of. Just relax right now, ok?”

Mackenzie heard what she said and she lent back. "Come here..." Mack said scooting over as she patted the spot next to her. She wanted some time with her girlfriend because she felt weak and cold and wanted warmth.

Mackenzie heard what she said and she frowned but nodded her head. She completely understood why. "When do we go home?" Mack asked her. "Back to New York?"

“Two or three days,” Sophie said. “I’ve got a few things to do tomorrow, though. Going to church and then I wanted to visit my cousins’ old school.” She’d also have to talk to Blake alone eventually, but now didn’t seem like the right time to mention that.

Mackenzie heard what she said and she nodded, her fingers lacing through Sophie's. Her thumb lightly rubbed her hand. "I didn't mean to scare you.." Mack said to her softly.

“It’s ok, as long as you’re safe,” Sophie whispered.
The next day Blake had cornered her after she got out of church. She hadn’t really wanted to go in the first place, but in London she had to play her part and part of that was religion. Talking with Blake after really wasn’t something she was interested in, but the way she saw it she didn’t have a choice. She had to be amicable if she didn’t want to lose his friendship.
After the interaction, Sophie headed home about two hours later than she had been expecting too. Rather than visiting Mackenzie in her room right after, she headed upstairs and collapsed in the chair by her desk. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before pulling out a worn journal and a pen and began writing.

Mackenzie had been released from the hospital on strict orders to remain stress free, hydrated, and to just rest while her body adjusts. So the next day, Mackenzie decided to sleep in as late as she possibly could. She knew Sophie had to go to church with her family and while she wanted to join her, she was exhausted from the day before. She had felt Sophie slip from her bed and out of the room and promptly fell back to sleep.
Mack woke up and she stretched. She felt refreshed. She got out of bed and headed into the bathroom. She showered and then threw her hair in a bun. She was dressed in a pair of leggings and a sweater dress. She gnawed on her lip as she didn't see a message from Sophie. She should have been back by now. Mackenzie left her room to go and find someone who could take her to Sophie's room. Mackenzie spotted Liam. "Liam. Can you show me to Sophie's room?" Mackenzie asked. She had yet to make her way to her girlfriends room since they got there. Sophie had been spending most of her nights with her, sneaking out early in the morning so they wouldn't get caught.

Liam was in between chores when Mackenzie stopped him and asked him to show her to Sophie’s room. He hesitated for a moment before nodding. He didn’t want to intrude on Sophie’s privacy, the girl got enough of that from her family, but Sophie seemed to like Mackenzie and he doubted she’d mind. “Of course, miss,” he said and led the way.

Mackenzie heard what he said and she followed him. "Thank you. I really appreciate it," Mack said softly as she followed after him. She hoped that her girlfriend was okay and that she didn't mind her bothering her.
