Today had been a fairly easy day for Marcel at school. It was a pretty chill day with them playing review games in most of the classes. They were getting ready for some testing coming up and he wanted them to be as prepared as possible so that way they could pass. He also, the last few weeks, been dealing with the loss of one of his students and how his current students were handling it. Many were doing alright but often just needed to talk about it because they were thinking about her or something. It had been draining but going home every night to Charley and Ari made things ten times better.
That evening, Charly had an evening class so he was picking up Ari after school. Whenever Charley was able to, she would help him out and pick her up. Marcel swung by Ari's school and picked her up. Once he got home, he got Ari settled into watching something on the TV while she colored and practiced her letters. She was good at writing her first and last name and now she was just practicing her other letters.
It was around 7pm when Marcel put dinner away and led Ari upstairs to take a bath. "Go grab your pajamas and underwear while I get your bath ready," Marcel said as he went into the bathroom, while Ari went into her room. Marcel quickly filled the bath with water and some bubbles and he waited for it to get warm and full. He set a towel down on the counter and he saw his daughter come in and set her clothes on the counter. He quickly helped her undress and get into the tub. He washed her hair and allowed her to wash her body before he gave her some bath toys to play with. He sat on the toilet seat and scrolled on his phone to see what the latest was going on in the world. He knew Charley wouldn't be home until closer to 10pm that night because she had a late lab that night.
