OOC: I tried to make this not graphic XD
It had been a week since Julia’s visit, but some of her words still spun around in Sophie’s head. Her sister hadn’t said anything that was directly aggressive, but the implications behind her words had left her feeling like a helpless child again. She hated that feeling, and she hated how easily others could trigger it. It was so stupid.
After Mackenzie went off to work, Sophie poured herself a drink. She just needed to stop feeling like the entire world was mocking her, promising her a safe and happy future and then dragging that promise away and reminding her that it could never happen. Her shoulder hurt so she took her painkillers, hoping they’d take it away.
The first drink didn’t work so she had another one, but that didn’t stop her thoughts. She needed them to stop.
She grabbed a knife from the kitchen set and walked over to the bathroom. She grabbed her phone and typed out a message to Mackenzie. I need you to know that I will always love you, no matter what. After sending the message she turned on the tap to fill the tub with water. It seemed like things would somehow be cleaner that way. Not that she should have much reason to care. It wouldn’t really be her problem.
She stepped in the tub and turned off the faucet then grabbed the knife and dragged it across the skin of her wrists, barely even feeling the pain that should have accompanied it. This was the best way to be sure it would work this time. To make sure it would all be over.
One final thought occurred to her, but her phone was too far away and there was no way she could get a pen and paper so she used her own blood to write on the wall “Sorry I lied” Shortly after that the world turned black.

Mackenzie didn't want to leave for work and leave Sophie by herself but Mack couldn't call out of work again because they were already short staffed. Things between the girl were better than before and she was happy about that. She loved Sophie and she didn't know what the hell she would do without her. Mackenzie told her goodbye and that she loved her. She also added that she would cook dinner that night and off she went to work.
She was about halfway through her work shift when she got a text from Sophie. She frowned slightly and sent her a text back. I love you more baby. See you in a few hours Mack sent her before going back to work. Mack quickly finished up her shift and clocked out. With a 'see ya tomorrow' Mack grinned as she left her work. She headed home and opened the door. "Baby I'm home!" Mack called kicking off her shoes. When she got no response, she frowned. "Sophie?" Mack called as she made her way to their bedroom.
Mack frowned when she didn't see Sophie at all. She saw the bathroom door shut over and she made her way to the bathroom. "Baby?" Mack called gently, knocking on the door before slowly opening it. When she did, she let out a scream as she saw her girlfriend in the tub. "Sophie!" Mack cried as she glanced at the wall. She moved to the tub to drain the water before running to grab her phone. She called 911 and she explained what happened and the rest was a blur.
~~~
The paramedics took Sophie to the hospital, Mackenzie following by foot due to her not having a car. She paced the waiting room back and forth as she waited for someone to come get her to see Sophie. She called Jesse and told him what happened. Jesse said they would be on the next flight out and to just hang tight. Mack was a mess. She couldn't stop crying, she was shaking and she felt like she was going to be sick any moment.
Mary had just finished a session with a patient when she was given a call about an attempted suicide from the hospital. Less than half an hour after receiving the call she was at the hospital getting briefed on what she needed to know. “Mackenzie?” she asked as she walked into the waiting room.
Mackenzie heard her name being called and she glanced up from her spot where she was sitting. "Is Sophie okay? I-Is she dead? Please... I can't live without her... I can't..." Mack said panicking.
Mary shook her head. “I don’t know about her current condition,” she replied. “I work at the local mental ward for minors. They’re going to transfer her to us when she’s stable. Do you know when her family will be able to get here?”
Mackenzie heard what she said and she Mack let out a sob. "She has to be okay..." Mack cried. She heard what she asked. "I-I'm her girlfriend. Her brother is trying to get the next flight here. Can I see her?"
“This isn’t your fault. From what I’ve been told it seems like this attempt was impulsive, not planned out.” Mary said. “Do you know if she has any history of depression?”
“Hey, it’s going to be okay. There are a lot of people working very hard to take are of her. I’m sorry she put you through this, but right now you need to remember that this isn’t your fault.”
Mary nodded. She couldn’t say anything for certain, but based on the fact that she had been called she was guessing the doctors were fairly confident she’d make it. “Do you said her brother is coming? What about her parents? Have they been notified?”
Mary frowned. "Why not?" she asked. She knew perfectly well that a lot of teenagers didn't have the best relationship with their parents, but having parents come in was important for treatment.
