Charley chewed at the inside of her cheek. "This is going to be different. In trials by jury lawyers tend to try to make witnesses seem incompetent." she said. She didn't know much about the American law system, but she had seen plenty of trials back in England. The system couldn't be too different.

Marcel heard her mutter and he smiled gently at her. He then heard her comment about Ari and he nodded his head. "You're correct," He said. "But first..." Marcel pulled Charley close to him and he bent his head to kiss her softly, his hand tangling in her hair. It was one of his favorite things to do when he got home. Greet his daughter with a kiss on the head and his girlfriend with a kiss. He pulled away with a quick kiss before he grinned. "You can come out now Ari!" He heard the door open and the squeal of Ari before he felt an arm wrap around his leg and another one, he saw, wrapped around Charley's.
