“Show you?” he asked, taking a step forward and running a hand over her upper arm. He leaned in to kiss her quickly then pulled back and looked down at her as he said “I much prefer brunettes with enough confidence to go out into the world on her own no matter how daunting it may seem and the cutest little dimples I’ve ever seen.”

Dani heard his question and she felt his hand. She felt him kiss her and she smiled against his lips before she felt him pull back. She heard what he said and she looked up at him. "Then it's a good thing I feel the same way about you..." She said softly, her arms coming up around his neck

Mav grinned and kissed Mack again, then he heard the door open behind him and he turned, stepping protectively between Dani and the blonde who emerged.

Sophie would have waited longer but she as bored and she knew Mackenzie would be worried about her. “I’m sure you guys think you’re adorable and I hate to interrupt, but I really should be going,” she said, leaning against the door to keep her balance which was still off for some reason. She wondered whether the gang’s excuse for a doctor had checked for a concussion or not.
“You can’t,” the guy said. She sized him up and doubted she’d be able to beat him in a fight, especially not with the newly stitched shoulder wound.
Instead, Sophie smiled slowly. “Trying to hold me prisoner? Maybe you do have something to be jealous of after all,” she drawled, watching the girl for her reaction.
“Thats not what I meant, I-“ he cast a panicked glance at the girl behind him but seemed to have run out of words.

Dani felt him grin as he kissed her back. She heard a door open and she watched as the blonde girl stepped out of the room. She heard what the girl said and then she heard Mav. The her head went to the blonde girl as she spoke again. She glanced at Mav. ”Then what did you mean?” she asked him

Mav frowned knowing he’d accidentally backed himself into a corner. This was why he didn’t like dealing with his cousin’s friends. “I mean because she’s injured and according to Peyton she doesn’t have anywhere to go. Plus he said she shouldn’t be leaving and I don’t know what he meant by that but I’m not taking any risks.”

The guy still didn’t seem to know how to respond, so Sophie interjected. “He’s right that you’re worrying about the wrong things, you know,” she said, “He’s really not my type. You, on the other hand,” she smirked. She knew there was no way in hell anything would happen between her and either of them, but throwing people off kilter by flirting had always been fun.

Dani heard what she said as she looked at her. When she heard what she said, she rose her eyebrows. So the girl was gay… or at least bi. It made her feel a little better but she still didn’t like her here. ”Well if you want to leave no use staying here,” Dani said stepping closer to Mav.

Mav frowned and glanced between the two girls. “That really doesn’t change anything, though. Peyton brought her here and she’s not leaving until he gives her the green flag.” He didn’t know why this had turned into something about who was going to end up sleeping with who, but that really wasn’t the problem at hand. It hasn’t even been a problem to begin with. “I’m sorry, but I know him and I don’t know you. He said he still had something to talk to you about so you really have to stay.” He’d be able to just text Peyton if he still had his phone, but since he was grounded that wasn’t an option.
The blonde smirked. “Yeah, whatever.” she said. “Like I said, you guys are adorable but I really have to be going. Peyton got me shot and I have no interest in talking to him right now so I’ll just be on my way.”
She took a few steps forward to leave but Mav grabbed her arm to stop her. “For Christ’s sake,” he muttered, “You’ve been passed out for hours and you just woke up. You could have a concussion or something. You can’t just wander around New York, who knows what kind of trouble you’ll run into.”

Dani heard the exchange and she bit her lip. She turned to Mav. ”Can we go somewhere private?” Dani asked softly. She wanted to kiss him and to be with him but not with an audience.

Mav frowned and glanced back at Dani. “Not really,” he said, frustration seeping into his tone. He didn’t get why this couldn’t just be simple, or why Dani wouldn’t just take his side and try to help him convince the blonde to stay until Peyton got back. “I kind of need to deal with this right now, ok?”
Suddenly the blonde started talking again. “Really, honey. It doesn’t seem like you should be wasting your time on him. You could do so much better. I bet he knows it too.” Mav didn’t like the malice in the girl’s smile, nor did he like the words she was saying. Because she was right. He could lose Dani so easily and he wasn’t really helping his case at the moment.

Dani heard what he said and she sighed. ”Look,” Dani said to the girl. ”As much as I totally get the fact that you need to leave. But you should probably rest for a little while longer and then in a few hours, you can go home.”

Sophie frowned as suddenly the girl changed sides on her. She really hadn’t been expecting that. Apparently trying to mess with them wouldn’t work. Oh well, she had other methods to fall back on to terrify people. “You guys can try to make this kidnapping if you want, but you both seem like you’d get the shit beat out of you in juvie. And, honestly, I don’t even need proof considering the cops are already suspicious about Peyton. If I played the victim card the media would eat it up.” she kept her tone even. She wasn’t really going to report either of them, she’d get in trouble with the gang and she didn’t want their anger. Not while she had to keep Mackenzie safe too.
